VISITING LONDON

Our holiday apartments offer you all the comfort of a hotel and more. Renting an apartment is much more economical than checking into a hotel.  All of our apartments are equipped with a washing machine and have their own kitchen or a kitchenette. Ideal if you want to travel light, don’t want to eat out every night, or simply want to keep an eye on your holiday budget. Renting a holiday apartment is ideal for friends and families as they can all stay together in one of our larger flats or we can arrange for a combination of apartments in the same house. We can supply baby cots or a folding bed on request. Our apartments are serviced once a week with a change of towels and linen, however, we can come and clean your flat more often, which we do have to charge for unfortunately, just let us know!

London is one of the most wonderful cities in the world. From our Location page see that the position of our apartments is ideal for exploring this huge and magnificent metropolis. We are 10 minutes away by bus or tube to the West End, famous for its Theatres and Shopping, Oxford Street’s fame is renowned for a retail experience, where you’ll also find up-market department stores, such as Selfridges and Liberty. Piccadilly Circus is close by for the Royal Academy of Arts and Fortnum and Mason and, of course, Trafalgar Square for the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and Nelson’s Column. Covent Garden is not far, full of vintage and designer shops, great restaurants, home to the Royal Opera House as well as the London Transport Museum. What's more, there is plenty to enjoy in our immediate area, just take a look at our mini guided tour! Multiple tube lines are easily accessible from our location, so that you can zoom across the city in no time! A fact worth keeping in mind when it comes to the London Olympics in 2012.

London… We Recommend…

Columbia Road flower market (E2, tube it Liverpool street)
Sundays - early morning till 1pm
This is the place to buy flowers or flower pots to decorate your flat with! But you don't need to buy plants in order to enjoy the market - on a nice day, Columbia road is a delight to roam, full of little shops and cafes… or try and get a table for lunch at the very busy Royal Oak pub that serves delicious Sunday roasts!

Borough Market (SE1, tube it London Bridge)
Thursday 11am – 5pm, Fridays 12 – 6pm, Saturday s 9am – 4pm
If you like food, you will LOVE borough market. They have EVERYTHING here! However, you don't need to buy ingredients to cook at home in order to enjoy the market (although, if you do, here's a tip: everything gets a lot cheaper before closing time on Saturday). It is equally enjoyable just to mince around the market, nibbling on various foods, absorbing the foodie atmosphere. Look out for the killer chocolate brownies.

Brick Lane for a weekend wonder and a curry.
Hyde Park because it’s beautiful and right next door.
The Coronet Cinemabecause it's old 1898!, local and half price on Tuesday.
The British Museum because it is free, incredible and amazing.
The South Bank Centre for its cafés, cluster of concert halls, gallery, National Film Theatre and views of the Thames
Otherwise get a copy of Time Out – it lists everything that’s on in London from Clubbing to Cinema and much much more!
